An exceptionally sculptural Mid-Century Modern high-back wing chair designed by Georg Thams for Vejen Polstermøbelfabrik, Denmark, circa 1950s.
Defined by its striking, architectural profile, this piece features floating teak paddle armrests set against an expressive, winged backrest. The back is delicately detailed with five classic button tufts, providing both structural elegance and ergonomic support. The solid frame is elevated by tapered solid wooden legs, creating an airy, light footprint that highlights its mid-century Danish proportions.
Professionally restored and reupholstered in a plush, high-performance chocolate brown velvet by Rohleder. The rich, deep tone of the fabric contrasts beautifully against the warm, organic grain of the solid teak armrests.
A refined, collector-grade seating piece that seamlessly bridges Danish modernist restraint with deep lounge comfort.
