Romeo Rega (1904-1984) was a preeminent figure in the Roman design scene of the 1970s, establishing a legacy defined by a dramatic and sophisticated aesthetic. Rega's hallmark was the masterful juxtaposition of materials. Often highly polished chrome, brass, and bronze—with transparent elements like lucite and glass. His designs are celebrated for their strong geometric lines, sculptural quality, and glamorous, almost cinematic presence. Rega successfully blended the principles of modernism with an inherent sense of Roman luxury, creating highly collectible pieces that embody the jet-set era of Italian design.

This table had a past life in the most incredibly elegant home of a wealthy philanthropist in Maryland. This table was surrounded by Paul Evans, and Vladimir Kagan pieces (provenance available upon request). 

This table is all original and features its original SOLID lucite core-- others on the market have had their core broken or replaced with hollow lucite tubes. Not his baddie. The table base alone weighs  ~ 200lbs. A substantial piece, with substantial provenance. The base can accommodate a larger top if desired.
